Remtron
Expands Production Capability
Escondido,
CA, (May 10, 2004)
- New Production Machinery
Provides Greater Capacity
and New Technology
Remtron
has upgraded its Printed
Circuit Board Assemble
(PCA) machinery to increase
production capacity
and efficiency as well
as to take full advantage
of the latest electronic
component technology.
This first of two QUAD
pick and place machines
along with a multi-stage
oven have been installed
and placed in production
in Remtron’s plant
in Escondido, California.
The investment was made
to meet the increasing
demand for Remtron’s
remote control products
and to permit the design
of more compact, lightweight
and flexible transmitters.
The first product produced
on the new machinery
is the Remtron T34A
PCA, which is the first
Remtron transmitter
to use the second-generation
Command Pro design.
The new technology has
permitted Remtron to
reduce the size of the
T34 transmitter and
upgrade the processor
for improved performance
and additional programming
flexibility to meet
our customers increasing
demands. The new Command
Pro design architecture
will serve as the platform
for a series of new
and exciting products
scheduled for release
in the next few years.
